- Bookkeeping all year
A small team that knows your name, led by Stacy.
“I want you to walk out understanding your return, not just signing it. And if a letter shows up from the IRS in July, you call us. That's how it should work in a small town.”
Stacy has spent years preparing returns and keeping books for the households and small businesses around Avilla. Today she leads a small team of preparers and bookkeepers and keeps a close eye on the work that leaves our office. No seasonal pop-up and no call center. Just one office on Main Street that keeps your file, remembers last year, and picks up the phone.
You'll know the cost before any work begins. No surprise add-ons at pickup.
What changed, why your refund moved, what to do differently next year.
Letters, amendments, extensions and bookkeeping, all year long.
Documents are kept secure and never shared or sold.
Four easy ways to get your taxes off your plate.
Busy season or not, pick whatever fits your week. Every return gets a careful review before it's filed.

Shoebox receipts and a bank app aren't a bookkeeping system. Our bookkeepers keep your books current every month under the watch of Stacy, a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor, so you always know where the business stands and tax time takes an afternoon instead of a weekend.
Bank and card accounts matched to the penny, with a profit & loss and balance sheet you can actually read.
Months (or years) behind? We'll rebuild the books so you can file, apply for a loan or just sleep better.
Paychecks, withholding, WH-4s and W-2s, plus Indiana sales and withholding filings through INTIME.
Choosing an LLC or S corp, getting your EIN and Indiana registrations, and setting up QuickBooks the right way from day one.
Online bookkeeping apps come and go, and some have shut down overnight. We're on Main Street, and your records stay with you.

Frequently asked
How much will my tax return cost?
Simple returns start at $85 for federal and Indiana. More forms (kids, a home, self-employment, rentals) add to the price. We quote you up front after looking at your documents, so you'll know the cost before any work begins.
Do I have to come in?
For your first visit, yes. We like to meet you in person, go over your documents together and get your file set up. After that, you can send your paperwork to us securely and electronically, or drop it off at the office.
When should I schedule?
As soon as you have your W-2s and 1099s, usually by early February. February and early April are the busiest weeks, so earlier is better. If you're waiting on a form, we can start and finish when it arrives.
What if I'm behind on filing, or got a letter from the IRS?
It happens more than you'd think. We prepare prior-year and late returns, and we'll help you understand and respond to IRS and Indiana DOR notices. The sooner you bring it in, the more options you usually have.
Why use a local bookkeeper instead of an app?
An app records transactions; a bookkeeper makes sure they're right. Our team reconciles your accounts and catches problems early, and because the same office prepares your return, nothing gets lost between your books and your taxes.
Is there a contract for bookkeeping?
No long-term contract. Plans are month to month. If you're behind, we'll start with a one-time catch-up so your books are current before monthly service begins.
Do you work with QuickBooks?
Yes. Stacy is a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor, and we work in both QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop. We can work in your existing file, clean it up, or set up a new one. If you're not using software yet, we'll recommend what fits your business and budget.
Are you open after tax season?
Yes. Tax season is our busiest time, but bookkeeping, payroll, extensions, amended returns and IRS letters keep us going all year. Off-season help is by appointment.
Let's get you taken care of.
